Ceramic Review profile article.
Ceramic Review Issue 326, March/April 2024 contains a profile on my work, written by Annie le Santo. It is great to be featured in this way in this wonderful magazine – for whom I used to write many years ago.

It is very exciting news that ‘Red/Blue Orbit’, a centrepiece and the catalogue cover image of my solo exhibition at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery, has been acquired by the V&A Museum for their permanent collection.
‘Blue/Red Orbit’. 2023. Parian porcelain, soluble cobalt and soluble gold. H16.5cm.
It was fantastic to show again with Messums West in the Long Gallery, this time in a two person exhibition alongside the Canadian artist Greg Payce.
It has been a great pleasure to work on this exhibition at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery with the curator Louise Weller. This has presented the opportunity to show a range of pieces representing three distinct bodies of work in ceramic alongside a selection of works on paper. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue including an essay by the curator.
My first show with Galerie du Don since 2019. A body of new work with a focus on colour, shown alongside the work of James Oughtibridge, Grainne Watts and Sangwoo Kim.
This Diptych was shown in this group exhibition by Cavaliero Finn Gallery, held at Ballroom Arts in Aldeburgh. The shifting light and tide of the coast is an inspiration for my work and so this was a wonderful setting in which to show this piece.
Messums Wiltshire curated this exhibition as part of their Ceramics Season, showing my work alongside that of Natasha Daintry and James Rigler. All three of us were taught by Martin Smith at the Royal College of Art. 4th March to 30th April 2023. This was the first public outing for the Orbit forms shown here.
I showed again with Cavaliero Finn Gallery at Collect 2023, in Somerset House, London. This year we used it as the opportunity for the first public showing of a new experimental group of sculptures – ‘Fluxworks’.
I was delighted to take part in my first exhibition in Denmark – the three artist show ‘Lees, Persson, Schaal’, at Galleri Weinberger Schandorff in Copenhagen from 4/11/22 to 3/12/22. It was great to see my work alongside that of glass artist Stig Persson and painter Daniel Schaal.
The tallest piece I’ve made to date – ‘Column’ – was shown at PAD London in October 2022 by Portuondo Gallery.
